Peer Pressure
so much like amy i'm finally giving in to the whole 'blogging' thing due to harrassment from our good friend jessica. considering i havent known until now that she even had a blog, i'm feeling pretty behind the times. in case you're wondering why i'm writing a blog at almost 3am, it's because i work a night shift tomorrow and have to stay up very late tonight to be able to survive, and most people who know me know that i would be the type of person to be home blogging at 3am on a saturday night ;)
so what's been going on in my less than exciting life? well almost a month ago one of my best friends since 6th grade got married to an amazing man whom i love. it was so weird standing up there watching my little amy get married...i feel way too young for that to be happening. esp now that a majority of my friends are married...very weird. anyways, it was so fun to spend the whole weekend with the greatest girls i know and actually get to catch up. the week after the wedding i went to mexico (riviera maya) with another one of my great friends that i met while at baylor. there was originally three of us going, but it ended up just the two of us and it was soo worth the money. i've worked a year straight without taking any vacation time and constantly working overtime...needless to say it was a much needed time to catch up on rest. and ps...i held a bird! i know, crazy! after getting back from mexico, my family had decided to take a trip down to south padre for our first family vaca in 6 years...so of course i couldn't pass up an offer for a free vacation for a week at the beach! it rained 4 out of the 7 days we were there, but it was nice to be away and spend time with my family. but by the end of my 2 1/2 wks off i was ready to get back to my regular (however crazy) routine of every week.
i've been back at work for a week now and had an amazing weekend with friends. o! and...i bought my first ever coach purse!! can i tell you how excited i am?! amy helped me pick it out and i love it. anyways, i think i've babbled on enough for my first post...time to finish my weekly laundry and wrap things up for tonight. goodnight!
