Another year...
So another summer later and I still haven't caught on to this blogging thing yet. Jessica reminded me again that it's been so long since I've written anything, and while I had a minute I thought I'd give a little update...
The family is all good and healthy, at least right now. If you know my family, you know that that never lasts long. Mary just got her driver's license last week (wow I'm old!) and has a new boyfriend that I get to meet this weekend when we take them to six flags. We had our third annual South Padre summer vaca recently and had a lot of fun with beautiful weather which is all we could ask for.
Last November I got a new puppy named Harley. He's technically called a Comfort Retriever, but since nobody knows what that is, he's a mix between a golden retriever and king charles spaniel. He is now 10 months old and still very much a puppy, but I love him oh so much and am still thrilled that I decided to get him! (if I was at my home comp I would have pics...maybe I'll add them later on...)
Another addition to my life that came along in November is my boyfriend Gary. We had been friends for 2.5yrs before then, meeting at work, but finally decided to try out the whole dating thing. And if I do say so myself, it has worked out very well :) He is absolutely amazing and just perfect for me. I hope that you all can meet him, and if you already have, I hope that yall can get to know him more.
Other odds and ends...so my muse Jessica got me into quilting, which I have fallen in love with! I love all the fabrics and different things you can do with it. I've made a few as gifts, but am working on ones for me now so hopefully I'll have some fun ones to keep soon! Gary is a triatholon runner and biker, after finding out how much I hate running, he talked me into getting a bike (it didn't take too much twisting of my arm to convince me to do something other than running). I got a specialized (brand) road bike a few months ago and love it. We have had such a busy summer I haven't really been able to ride as much as I want to, but hopefully after everything dies down a bit.
So basically this past year in a nutshell: dog, boyfriend, quilting, biking, trips, and of course work (wish I could leave that last part out but it's something that's got to happen I guess).
I hope that everyone had a fabulous 4th and have a great week!
